With today’s rapid industrial development, technology has become a fundamental necessity for the survival of businesses and society as a whole. Industries are seeking innovative ways to use technology that will improve operational efficiency and thereby reduce costs, so it’s no surprise that there is a constant need for ongoing professional development in the field of information technology.
After launching the first set of programming education courses last year, the city of Križevci, in cooperation with the company Codel d.o.o., is launching a second cycle of IT education aimed at increasing the competitiveness of the local population, thereby seeking to establish Križevci as a hub for the IT industry.
The C programming language still “drives the world”
The second cycle of free IT education, lasting 30 instructional hours, began on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at the Križevci Development Center and Technology Park. The seminar aims to provide participants with an insight into programming thinking and the basic information needed for further learning, as well as assistance in choosing technologies they could pursue for their continued professional development.
Despite the prevalence of higher-level development languages, the C programming language continues to empower the world, which is why this training is aimed at C programmers and derivatives of C-based content – Java, C++, IoT, and PLC. To navigate the daily challenges brought by the rapid development and advancement of technology, programmers must develop an abstract understanding; they need to be able to see the “big picture” and understand how even the smallest things impact everything else. They must be able to look at the rational, business, and technological requirements and translate them into concrete logic.
This comprehensive orientation course aims to provide as much essential information as possible so that participants can familiarize themselves with the demands of technology and work organizations that require the development of a specific way of thinking.
