In the German city of Nuremberg, this year we exhibited at one of the most important trade fairs in the packaging, wrapping, and labeling industry.

We were one of 45,000 exhibitors from around the world, and we presented our AIDA software suite for the vertical integration of production lines and ERP systems, which made a very strong impression on all visitors to our booth, and we established very valuable contacts.
FachPack 2018, held from September 25 to 27 in Nuremberg, attracted around 45,000 business visitors (2016: 41,014) to familiarize themselves with innovations and trends in the packaging, packing, and labeling industry. This year’s visitor count represents an increase of more than eight percent compared to the previous event. The large rise in visitor numbers is evident in the number of attendees who came from outside Germany.
For the first time, the event occupied 12 exhibition halls, and 1,644 exhibitors (2016: 1,542) had the opportunity to engage in extensive discussions about packaging and labeling solutions for consumer and industrial products.

FachPack once again featured a wide range of products and services, covering packaging and labeling processes from packaging materials and printing to finishing and logistics systems and services.

Trade visitors came from the food industry, pharmaceuticals and medical technology, cosmetics, the chemical industry, and the automotive industry. About ninety percent of trade visitors said they were involved in purchasing and procurement decisions at their companies. About half of the trade visitors held senior positions, and as many as five of them were members of the management.

Among the exhibitors, the largest number were in the packaging materials sector (e.g., paper, cardboard, plastic, and glass) and accessories (e.g., labels and stamps), with a total of 780 exhibitors.
Technical aspects of packaging, in other words, machines for making and processing packaging, labeling technologies and labeling machines, and devices for checking, testing, and recycling, were exhibited by 560 exhibiting companies.
297 companies presented products and services related to logistics, i.e., warehousing solutions, loading, picking, and transportation of packaged goods.
224 exhibitors showcased solutions for package printing and finishing.
